It’s that time of year friends… Christmas Card season! This can be a rather stressful event for most families. Getting all the kids and parents to look presentable in perfectly coordinating outfits, out the door on time and in the car is next to impossible. Finding a place to actually take the photos is just another item of every mom’s to-do list. Luckily, we live in one of the most naturally beautiful states, so there is a photo op around every corner.

Fayetteville Town Square

The Town Square in Fayetteville is currently covered in leaves, which will make your Christmas card photos seem all the more festive. The lights turn on November 17, and that really brings out the festivities! If the foliage isn’t your jam, there are numerous brick walls and murals around the square. Our favorite is a plain white wall that is located right behind Riffraff – it would be perfect if your families outfits have a little color to them!

War Eagle Mill

A pretty popular choice, but for good reason! The mill itself is a beautiful backdrop, and especially at this time of the year. You can also read your family to a job well done after an afternoon full of photos and enjoy dinner at the mill.

Pi Phi Gate

Everyone takes photo in front of Old Main at the University of Arkansas campus, but the Pi Phi gates are a little less well-known. The gates are located across from the Kappa Kappa Gamma house, and they are always decorated for Christmas. At certain angles, you can get one of the towers of Old Main in the background as well.

Walton Museum

Taking photos in front of the old-school Walton Museum would be gorgeous, especially if you can tie red into your families’ outfits! Bentonville Square is always decorated for Christmas as well, so you can wander around the square to find other shooting locations. As a plus, Crystal Bridges is located 5 minutes away, and the forest area that is connected to the museum would make for amazing photos!
