Thanksgiving is right around the corner, but arguably the best part of this time of year is hosting, or getting invited to, a Friendsgiving. It’s like Thanksgiving’s cooler older sister, minus all of the stress of cooking a whole feast. It also doubles as a perfect excuse to drink all the wine you want without judgement from your great aunt, and gossip with your best girlfriends. To help you out, we’ve compiled a list of our top tips to impress all of your friends with your hostess skills.

  1. Find an easy, but delicious, recipe. This one is always a crowdpleaser, and takes 30 minutes to make. Also make use of this chart! It is so helpful for figuring out serving sizes and takes (some of) the stress out of planning dinner.

  2. Decorate, decorate, decorate. It’s easy to distract your guests from your mediocre cooking with some amazing decorations. Floral arrangements are the easiest way to decorate a space, and our friends at Shirley’s Flowers does it better than anyone else!
  3. A cute outfit also helps in distracting from everything else.
