On Jan. 30, Komen Ozark board members, race committee members, grantees, sponsors, top fundraisers, corporate teams and staff of the Ozark Affiliate joined together for a race kick-off party sponsored by Washington Regional Medical Center at UARK Bowl in Fayetteville. Honorary race chairs, Charles and Sue Redfield, and honorary survivor chair, Marybeth Cornwell, delivered motivational messages and challenged the 100 guests to raise $1 million dollars.

In the spirit of the theme, “It’s Time for Race,” Bates Events sponsored the evening entertainment with Minute to Win It games.

This year’s race theme is: Participate. Advocate. Donate. For the 1 in 8.  The 17th annual Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure is set to take place on April 25 at Pinnacle Hills Promenade in Rogers.
