BENTONVILLE Ark., July 27, 2010 – The Ronald McDonald Care Mobile, operated by Arkansas Children’s hospital is partnering with the Boys and Girls Club of Benton County this summer to provide comprehensive dental treatment and prevention education at no cost to the families for at-risk children. The Mobile Unit has already visited the Rogers Club and was able to provide 17 kids with treatment over a 10 day time period. The mobile unit is a joint project between Ronald McDonald House Charities of Arkoma, Arkansas Children’s Hospital, Tyson Foods Inc. and Delta Dental of Arkansas.

According to Jacob Hutson, Chief Professional Officer, “We are excited about this partnership with the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile unit and their clinical provider, Arkansas Children’s Hospital to allow our children to have the opportunity to receive the proper dental care that their parents would not be able to financially afford.”

The unit is currently at the McKinney Unit and will be treating children until August 4th.

The mission of the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile program is to improve the health and well-being of Arkansas children who are in need of oral healthcare and to bring them hope, through successfully operating the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile. The mission of the Boys & Girls Club of Benton County is to promote and strengthen families, while at the same time building stronger communities in the towns and cities we serve.
