LIVE UNITED Day: A Day to Give Back. A Day to Make a Difference.

Lowell, ARK – An estimated 650 volunteers will roll up their sleeves and lend a hand on more than 50 projects throughout Northwest Arkansas on Thursday, April 15. The projects, submitted by area nonprofits, would not normally be completed without volunteer assistance. While organizations might have the ability to buy supplies for things like landscaping and painting, it is a challenge to find the additional resources for labor.

Each hour worked by a volunteer on LIVE UNITED Day is equivalent to $20.25. By volunteering their time on this day, each volunteer has the potential to donate $162 worth of their time to allow organizations to focus resources on making people’s lives better.

For many in our community, leaving the office for a day to volunteer is simply not an option. This year, more than eleven companies throughout NWA are holding a jeans day where employees can give a five dollar donation to United Way in support of LIVE UNITED Day.
