BENTONVILLE Ark., May 19, 2010– On Tuesday, May 19th associates from Walmart DC #6008 presented the Bella Vista Club with a $500.00 donation.

This donation was through the VAP (Volunteerism Always Pays) program through the Walmart Foundation. On April 15th, seven associates from DC#6008 came out to the Bella Vista club to volunteer their time through the Live United Day sponsored by United Way of Northwest Arkansas. The associates spent most of the day giving the club a face lift and painted several of the programming rooms throughout the Club.

The other Walmart managers who participated in the Live United Day were Mary Vaughn, Conny Knight and Leroy Ellis.  All of the managers were from Walmart Distribution Center 6008 in Bentonville except for Leroy Ellis who is from Logistics Administration.

ABOUT BOYS & GIRLS CLUB OF BENTON COUNTY
The mission of the Boys & Girls Club of Benton County is to promote and strengthen families, while at the same time building stronger communities in the towns and cities we serve. This is accomplished by providing facilities, programs and services that enable and ensure our youth to realize their full potential. The Clubs offer a variety of after-school, intercession and summer programs designed for character and leadership development as well as education and career development and activities promoting health and life skills, the Arts, sports, fitness and recreation.

The Boys & Girls Club of Benton County operates facilities from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday – Friday and from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. during summer and 7:00am to 5:00 p.m. during most school breaks.  Benton County club facilities serve the Bentonville, Rogers, Gravette and Bella Vista communities from the following locations:
