Tournament officials announced this week a comprehensive list of events taking place Sept. 23-Oct. 1, 2023 during the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship presented by P&G in Rogers. The week-long schedule of community events includes the 5K at the LPGA, two onsite yoga sessions, a junior golf clinic, guided bike ride to the tournament and more. Registration for the 5K @ the LPGA is now open online for only $20. The 5k race, benefiting the Mercy Health Foundation, returns on Saturday, Sept. 23 at 7:30 a.m., kicking off #NWAChampionship Week. The race will begin and end at the Walmart AMP and will feature a new course route for 2023, to be announced at a later date. Local companies and organizations are invited to join the race’s Corporate Challenge to compete for the titles of Fittest and Fastest Office in the region, with only five individuals needed to start a team. Following the race, participants and guests are invited to the post-race Community Celebration in the Walmart AMP’s Choctaw Plaza, featuring complimentary breakfast, yard games, photo opportunities and more. Each participant will receive a performance T-shirt, tournament ticket, finisher medal and more as part of the event gift bag.

Yoga for Kids presented by Dove will be hosted on Monday, Sept. 25 at 4:30 p.m. onsite at Pinnacle Country Club. The free, kids-focused yoga class taught by Allisson Kublanov of Bee Well Yoga will highlight how sports and exercise can help build confidence and self-esteem in children. In addition, an LPGA Tour professional will join along and share how yoga has impacted her golf game and other areas of her life. Role models and parents are invited to participate in the class as well. The first 100 participating children will receive a gift courtesy of Unilever and Dove. Spots are limited, so complimentary pre-registration is required online.

LPGA Tour professional and former Razorback golfer, Maria Fassi, will host the Fassi’s Friends Festival on Thursday, Sept. 28 from 4-6 p.m. at the First Tee of NW Arkansas facility in Lowell, Ark. The free, junior golf clinic, aimed at children ages five and up, will feature a variety of golf-focused activity stations, a demonstration from Maria Fassi, autograph signing, goody bags and more. Pre-registration is required online, with all skill levels invited to attend.

Yoga on the Green presented by Birds Eye returns on Saturday, Sept. 30 at 8 a.m. The adult yoga class, available for all skill levels, will be led by Angela Hardecke of Conagra Brands. Following the class, healthy smoothies courtesy of Birds Eye, will be offered for all participants to enjoy. Registration is available now online here, which includes a $5 donation to the NWA Food Bank and a complimentary daily tournament ticket.

The community is also invited to participate in Guided Bike Ride to the #NWAChampionship on Saturday, Sept. 30 at 11 a.m. The community group ride is held in partnership with Trailblazers and Mercy, with exact length and route to the tournament grounds to be determined. Registration is free in return for participation in the tournament’s sustainability efforts. Additionally, all participants will receive complimentary admission to tournament grounds and the BITE Experience @ the LPGA, valued at $45. Registration will open in the weeks ahead.

Tickets for the #NWAChampionship are available now online. General admission tickets are available for $10 for daily access or $25 for weekly access to the tournament grounds, with children 17 and under receiving free admission to the event, courtesy of Nestlé. Upgraded ticket options, including the BITE Experience @ the LPGA and the Choctaw Club are also available for purchase.
