Hermine Wilkins spent 30 years in the financial services industry, but her passion has always been for dogs. In 2000, she and her husband opened the first DogWatch Doggie Day Care Boarding in Fayetteville. A few years later, they opened their second location in Bentonville. She owns three Weimaraners that she trains and shows in agility, conformation, obedience and hunt tests. Hermine started the Arkansas Weimaraner Rescue over 20 years ago.
What do you do when you are not working?
When Iām not working I will probably be doing one of two things ā training my dogs or shopping.
Where is your happy place?
My happy place is walking my dogs early every morning.

What nonprofits are you involved with and why?
Arkansas Weimaraner Rescue because I love this breed and want to help them be placed in appropriate homes. I have also worked with the Humane Society of the Ozarks. I was President several years ago. Currently, DogWatch assists in providing reduced boarding rates for their dogs and cats.
