EMILY REYNOLDS
Senior Counsel, Walmart U.S. Legal, and Board President, Northwest Arkansas Children’s Shelter

1. Best part of your job:
I love being in a legal role that allows me to partner with the business and help them solve problems to move our business forward. On a larger scale, I am blessed to work for a company that gives me challenging work, allows me to be a mom first and recognizes the importance of giving back in the community.

2. What nonprofit are you involved with, and why?
I’m very involved with the Northwest Arkansas Children’s Shelter and Hope Academy. I started as a volunteer with the Shelter in law school and now serve as president of our board. The Shelter’s mission is to provide a safe haven, high-quality care and hope for the future to children who have been abandoned, abused or neglected. These are kids right here in our own backyard, kids that go to school with our children and kids that are the future of our communities. The support and love they receive during their time at the Shelter shows them a path toward a brighter future – there isn’t a worthier cause. I’m also very active with the children’s ministry programs at my church, Central United Methodist in Rogers.

3. Thing you’re most proud of:
Easiest question! My 6-year-old daughter, Libby. She’s beautiful, brilliant, funny, inquisitive and has the biggest heart.
