BENTONVILLE AR., (September 22, 2010)– On Wednesday, September 22nd, members from the Ladies Auxiliary presented the Boys & Girls Club of Benton County with a $23,550 donation at the McKinney unit in Bentonville.

The donation will help purchase new computers for the computer labs at three Boys and Girls Clubs in the county, remodel the art room at the McKinney Club, provide art supplies for all four Clubs and provide college scholarships to Boys and Girls Club of Benton County graduating seniors.

According to Jacob Huston, Chief Professional Officer, “The support that our Clubs receive from the Ladies Auxiliary is phenomenal. They put in many volunteer hours and hard work to help meet the needs of hundreds of Boys and Girls Club of Benton County children and their families. We are so grateful to have their longtime support.”

ABOUT BOYS & GIRLS CLUB OF BENTON COUNTY

The mission of the Boys & Girls Club of Benton County is to promote and strengthen families, while at the same time building stronger communities in the towns and cities we serve. This is accomplished by providing facilities, programs and services that enable and ensure our youth to realize their full potential. The Clubs offer a variety of after-school, intercession and summer programs designed for character and leadership development as well as education and career development and activities promoting health and life skills, the Arts, sports, fitness and recreation.

The Boys & Girls Club of Benton County operates facilities from 2:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday – Friday and from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. during summer and 7:00am to 5:30 p.m. during most school breaks.  Benton County club facilities serve the Bentonville, Rogers, Gravette and Bella Vista communities from the following locations:
