Bentonville Film Festival is finally here! BFF starts May 1 and runs through May 6. We are so excited about this fun festival that champions inclusion in all forms of media! The six-day festival includes dozens of feature films, along with panels, music and short films. The full schedule of events can be found on the Bentonville Film Festival website.

Here are five parts of the festival we can’t wait for:

  • So many amazing films! BFF will include various films in the following categories: narrative, documentary, short and episodic. A couple of films on our personal must-see list are “The Year of Spectacular Men,” and “Miss Arizona.” Check out the full list of films here.
  • Musical performances at 9 p.m. May 1-4 at the Coca-Cola Sound Stage at The Meteor. Performers include Lauren Alaina from season 10 of “American Idol;” Song Suffragettes, a collective of female singer-songwriters; country artists Carly Pearce and Jillian Jacqueline; Vintage Trouble, who has opened for iconic bands such as the Rolling Stones, AC/DC and The Who; Ally Brooke of Fifth Harmony; and L.A.-based singer/songwriter Alex Aiono. Find the full schedule and more information here.
  • Panels. BFF has panels on just about everything film-related, from storytelling to casting to marketing to social responsibility. Two panels we’re excited to check out are Women in Film at 1:30 p.m. May 2 at Record North and The Time is Now at 10:30 a.m. May 5 at Record North. The latter features Geena Davis, Alysia Reiner, Stephanie Beatriz and Natalie Morales as the panelists. Click here for the full list of discussion events.
  • Free outdoor events. Experience outdoor fun with demos, giveaways and more throughout downtown Bentonville at the following stops: Inclusion Town, Diversity Drive, STEAM Zone, Sony & Orville Redenbacher Outdoor Theatre at Lawrence Plaza, Theatre Village, Vudu Lounge and Local Lane. For the location and information on each stop, visit www.bentonvillefilmfestival.com.
  • Celebrity sightings! When you’re at a film, panel or even just walking around downtown Bentonville for the Bentonville Film Festival, you may spot some celebrities. We want to be best friends with some of the celebs who will be here: Geena Davis, Meg Ryan and Lea Thompson to name a few!
