Celebrity Waiter

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Phi Alpha Omega Chapter and the Tea Rose Foundation of Northwest Arkansas are pleased to announce their 15th Annual Fundraising Event, Celebrity Waiter Crystal Anniversary Gala, “A Night to Remember”. This formal event will be held on Saturday, November 16 at the John Q. Hammons Convention Center in Rogers beginning at 7p.m.  This year’s theme centers on highlighting the “Best of the Best” and will honor Rosalind Brewer, President and CEO of Sam’s Club.  32 community leaders will serve as “Celebrity Waiters”.  The evening will include dinner, dancing, oral and silent auctions.   Live musical entertainment will be provided by Grammy Award-winning RCA Records recording artist Anthony Hamilton as well as Rodney Block & The Real Music Lovers of Little Rock, AR.

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., founded in 1908, is the oldest Greek-letter sorority founded by Black women.  Its motto is “Service to All Mankind,” and the organization is comprised of more than 200,000 members and 900 chapters around the world, including an undergraduate and graduate chapter in Northwest Arkansas.

The Tea Rose Foundation of Northwest Arkansas is one of Northwest Arkansas’s newer non-profit organizations.  Founded in 2008, it was created to promote educational advancement, financial literacy, and health awareness in the Northwest Arkansas community.  Each year, the Foundation and Phi Alpha Omega Chapter co-sponsor this annual event.  Over the last 14 years, more than 120 high school, undergraduate and graduate students have received scholarships totaling in excess of $175,000.
