In addition to the celebrities participating in the game, there are at least two other autograph opportunities that you won’t want to miss:  Miss Arkansas Outstanding Teen, Savvy Shields (http://www.missteenarkansas.org/) will be present signing autographs.

Members of the Arkansas Razorbacks Men’s Basketball team will be present at 6:00pm signing autographs.

This co-ed softball game will benefit two very special charities — John Pelphrey’s Pel’s Pals and Tom Pagnozzi’s Pagnozzi Charities.  Both organizations serve the youth of Northwest Arkansas through donations, scholarships and in-kind support.  All gate sales from this special event will be donated to Pel’s Pals and Pagnozzi Charities.  So any number of tickets that you purchase are Tax Deductible.  Tickets are available at the gate on the day of the game.

This is also a fundraiser for two local youth baseball teams, the Fayetteville Cardinals and the Fayetteville Redbirds.  Both teams are enhancing the reputation of Fayetteville as a world-class baseball town.  Tom Pagnozzi and Charley Boyce are the head coaches of the Cardinals and Redbirds (respectively) with Casey Rowlett and Clint Brannon involved as well.  The boys are learning to play the game of baseball the right way:  hard work,  respect for the game and respect for their opponents.

Last year, the teams played in a combined 40 tournaments with numerous 1st-place finishes and two World Series championships.  The World Series tournaments literally involved teams from all over the United States.  These two youth teams represent Fayetteville and the state of Arkansas with pride and integrity.

This year, the Cardinals will be playing in the most elite 13 Yr Old World Series in the country.  The USSSA 13U Elite World Series is sponsored by ESPN, only 20 of the most elite 13U teams in the country have qualified to participate.  The Redbirds have qualified and will be participating in a World Series as one of 48 teams representing 9 different states.

All proceeds from concessions and sponsorships of this co-ed softball game will help the teams and their families offset the expenses of this years baseball season and travel to their World Series tournament.  The softball teams will include parents and volunteers of both the charities and these youth baseball programs.
