The Northwest Arkansas Children’s Shelter hosted a social event for its Circle of Care last night. The event was held at the beautiful home of Cindy and Duncan Mac Naughton and featured a wine and cheese tasting. The evening was open to potential members of the Circle of Care interested in helping support the Children’s Shelter mission of providing a safe haven, high-quality care and hope for the future to children who have been abandoned, abused or neglected.

The Circle of Care is an annual giving group open to all people who wish to support the mission of the Children’s Shelter with an annual gift of at least $500 per year. Only 20 percent of the Children’s Shelter revenue is funded by the state. Because of this, the gifts made by Circle of Care members help the Shelter fund a variety of expenses, such as transportation to doctor’s appointments, throwing birthday parties for each child, serving over 50,000 meals a year, as well as special field trips as part of the Expanding Horizons program.
