On February 18, the Northwest Arkansas Area Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. hosted its 16th Annual Crimson & Cream Scholarship event at the Embassy Suites in Rogers. The event was attended by more than 100 individuals and raised $5,500 to provide scholarships for young women in pursuit of higher education.
Guests were entertained by the University of Arkansas Inspirational Chorale with a keynote address entitled “Empowerment Through Education” by Jo Thompson, Chief Operations Officer for the Arkansas Office of Health Information Technology. The 2017 community award recipient was given to the M&N Augustine Foundation.
