The Best Friends Pet Resource Center in Northwest Arkansas will officially open to the public on March 11 at 10 a.m. There will a ribbon cutting that morning, so please mark your calendar and look out for more details from me closer to the event.
Throughout the weekend of March 11-12, the new center will host family-friendly activities, including toy and treat making, catnip planting, dog yoga, a stuffy animal clinic, paint your pet, and more. A full calendar is available here.
At the new space:
The Best Friends Pet Resource Center is more than just a place to adopt a pet. It is a first-of-its-kind, fully reimagined shelter that offers resources and services for both people and pets and breaks the mold of the antiquated facilities that have been the norm for almost 150 years. Designed without cages and kennels, the center is a community destination that connects people with adoptable pets, offers support for families to keep pets in homes and opportunities for animal lovers to help make the state of Arkansas and the entire country no-kill by 2025.
The Best Friends Pet Resource Center is located at 1312 Melissa Drive in Bentonville, and will be open beginning March 11: Monday-Thursday from 10 a.m.- 6 p.m., Friday 10 a.m.- 7 p.m., and Saturday-Sunday 10 a.m.- 4 p.m.
