Restoring Lives Evening of Impact

The Children & Family Advocacy Center invites donors, sponsors, and members of our community to join the nonprofit for the Restoring Lives Evening of Impact on Thursday, September 7 at Rogers Convention Center. Throughout the evening, the nonprofit will reflect on our center’s work, honor those who help the organization impact the community and look ahead to the organization’s future.
The Children & Family Advocacy Center is humbled to welcome guest speaker Erin Merryn to this year’s event. Erin is an internationally recognized author, speaker, and child abuse advocate and activist. She earned her MSW from Aurora University. For six years of her childhood she was sexually abused keeping her secret locked away in her childhood diary. Before graduating high school Erin published her diary into a book called Stolen Innocence. In 2013 she had Erin’s Law passed in her home state of Illinois. A law that requires personal body safety taught in public schools every year. At the Children & Family Advocacy Center, we are proud to offer body safety as one of the many trainings taught by our education team.
