(This message was added in version 6.7.0.) in /var/www/wp-includes/functions.php on line 6114Join the fight against child abuse by participating in Children’s Safety Center’s Pinwheels for Prevention. This event is held annually, all across the nation during the month of April, which is Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention Month. This nationally recognized event acknowledges the importance of communities working together to prevent child physical and sexual abuse.
Kick off the month by placing banners, signs, and pinwheels outside of your business or home. Pinwheels are placed alongside to recognize the importance of our children, the future they represent, and the things our community can do every day to make sure they are safe and protected.
You can do your part this April by purchasing one of these signs or banners and place it outside your home or business along with sparkly pinwheels.
Also join Children’s Safety Center and Mayor Sprouse on Friday, April 1 at 1 p.m. at the corner of Emma Ave and Thompson. Mayor Sprouse will read a proclamation and declare April, Child Abuse Awareness Month as we place pinwheels around our banner.
Then join Children’s Safety Center and Mayor Jordan on the same day at 3:30 p.m at the Fayetteville Boys and Girls Club. Mayor Jordan will read a proclamation and declare April, Child Abuse Awareness Month as we place pinwheels around our banner.
