The American Cancer Society of Arkansas is hosting the second Suits & Sneakers Gala on October 14, 2022, at the Fayetteville Town Center. Those with VIP tickets will enjoy a pre-event reception at 5 West that will include a meet-and-greet with University of Arkansas men’s basketball coaches and players.
The event is presented by Athletes Advantage Financial, Highlands Oncology, Walmart, and the Willard & Pat Walker Charitable Foundation, Inc.
This year’s event is chaired by Arkansas Men’s Basketball Coach Eric Musselman and wife Danyelle Musselman. The Gala’s Honorary Chair is Earvin Young, Vice President People Strategy and Portfolio Management, Sam’s Club. 40/29 Evening Anchor Allison Wise and Radio Personality + PA for Arkansas Men’s Basketball Jon Williams will serve as co-hosts for the event.
The nonprofit is thrilled about this year’s theme, taking it back to 1994, the last year the Razorbacks won the National Championship. Various players from that team will be in attendance. The event will also include a roundtable chat in the program that will feature Razorback players from then and now. It will be hosted by SEC Network Analyst Pat Bradley.
This year’s event is going to be FUN! On top of a delicious dinner, DJ, and live auction, there will be a living red carpet, circus acts (living statues, stilt walkers, and more!), 360 photo booth, sneaker contest, a basketball court themed dance floor, exclusive on-site screened printed shirts from B Unlimited, custom airbrushed hats and more!
The goal of the event is to raise funds to support childhood cancer research, services, awareness, prevention efforts and access to care. In fact, funds raised during the mission moment at the event will support lodging and transportation grants in Northwest Arkansas.
