SUMMARY:Lights of the Ozarks
DESCRIPTION:During the holiday season\, downtown Fayetteville is turned into a sparkling wonderland. The community gathers to enjoy a parade\, carolers\, carriage rides\, street vendors and more. Starting November 18\, the Fayetteville square is illuminated by half a million lights from 5 pm to 1 am. \nThe Lights of the Ozarks parade is organized by the University of Arkansas Hospitality Management students with support from the Fayetteville Visitors Bureau. The Fayetteville Advertising & Promotion Commission coordinates all other events during the festival.

DESCRIPTION:Children’s Christmas Train riders will depart from the Emma Street Depot aboard a restored 1940s era train. The 40 minute ride to Johnson and back will include carolers\, the Christmas Story and even a visit with Santa himself! After returning to the Springdale Depot families can enjoy holiday games and entertainment – ride ponies dressed as reindeer\, operate a model train\, write a letter to Santa or just enjoy the characters and puppet show in Santa’s Village. Children and families are also encouraged to dress in “ugly Christmas sweaters” and Holiday attire.
