This event is held annually\, all across the nation during the month of April\, which is Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention Month. This nationally recognized event acknowledges the importance of communities working together to prevent child physical and sexual abuse. \nKick off the month by placing banners\, signs\, and pinwheels outside of your business or home. Pinwheels are placed alongside to recognize the importance of our children\, the future they represent\, and the things our community can do every day to make sure they are safe and protected. \nYou can do your part this April by purchasing one of these signs or banners and place it outside your home or business along with sparkly pinwheels. 1836Ink has graciously agreed to donate a portion of the sales of these signs back to the Children’s Safety Center. SUMMARY:Touch-a-Truck
DESCRIPTION:Join Junior League of Northwest Arkansas for the 2023 JLNWA Touch-a-Truck event on Saturday\, April 29\, 2023\, at the new location of Northwest Arkansas Mall. Quiet hour for children with sensory needs will be 9-10 a.m.\, and general admission is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. \nThis year’s Touch-a-Truck will feature crowd favorites– dozens of vehicles that kids (and kids-at-heart) can explore. Vehicles you can expect to see include construction equipment\, safety and transportation vehicles\, motorcycles\, tractors and much more. There will also be special appearances and activities including mascots\, costumed characters\, fingernail painters\, face painters\, and building projects\, just to name a few. \nTickets are just $5 each or $20 per family (max 5 guests per family ticket). Children under 2 are free. Guests can purchase their tickets below\, or at the event gate. \nWith more than 4\,000 in attendance each year\, the Junior League’s Touch-a-Truck raises more than $15\,000 for the league’s mission. Proceeds assist the league with its mission of promoting voluntarism\, developing the potential of women\, and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. \nAs this is a public event hosted by the Junior League of Northwest Arkansas\, photographs and/or videos may be taken at the event.
