DESCRIPTION:Arts One Presents is excited to announce its upcoming summer musical “The Hunchback of Notre Dame” at the Pat Ellison Performing Arts Center in Springdale. “The Hunchback of Notre Dame” is based on the 1831 novel by Victor Hugo with songs from the 1996 Walt Disney Animation Studios. Inspired by the universal desire to fit in\, this musical tells the story of Quasimodo\, a young man taught to hide himself and his differences away in the bell towers of Notre Dame. As he ventures into the world and falls in love\, the audience sees his world expand. Set in a time period of great change\, determinism\, revolution and social strife\, this story concludes that love and kindness are the most important shared human traits.
