Officials of the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship presented by P&G have been committed to giving back to charities in Northwest Arkansas in significant and visible ways since the tournament’s inception in 2007.

Through donations and community events, such as Pantene Beautiful Lengths and 5K at the LPGA, giving back has remained at the forefront of the tournament. It seems as though each year tournament officials find innovative ways to incorporate local organizations and businesses while simultaneously providing a better experience for attendees.

Among the many additions to the tournament, this year officials are introducing Tyson Cafés, an affordable concept that evolved from the concessions program. The Cafés will be staffed by local organizations, including the NWA Food Bank, ALS Association, NWA Children’s Shelter, Children’s Advocacy Center of Benton County, Early Risers Rotary Club, and City of Rogers. Each will receive a donation on behalf of the tournament for their involvement. The goal for the Cafés is to provide more exposure for great local causes while enhancing spectators’ overall experience at the tournament.

The Cafés will feature upgraded meals, grab-and-go snacks, and drinks, with everything priced less than $3. Attendees can also look forward to new dishes, such as BBQ carnitas nachos, pulled pork sliders, and BBQ chicken flatbread pizza, which will all be prepared by the onsite chef team.

In addition to a menu overhaul, the actual footprint of the Cafés and concessions locations will look different. Each one will feature farm table style seating and shade, as well as cooling elements to provide relief from the heat.

Tyson Cafés will be located at six popular locations around the golf course: the driving range, hole three tee box, hole nine tee box, hole 15 fairway, Pinnacle Clubhouse patio, and inside Hub479, the 17th hole’s newest viewing area.

Hub479 is the largest onsite viewing area at the tournament to date. Hub479 will feature viewing of the 17th hole, lounge style seating, games and activities, and a Tyson Café area and bar. Read more about The Hub in our previous post.

The Walmart NW Arkansas Championship presented by P&G returns to Pinnacle Country Club on June 20 to 25. Learn more about the tournament here.
