During the week of October 9, The Junior League asks that members of the community wear the exact same black dress to raise awareness for domestic violence. That’s right, the SAME dress. Wear it to work, wear it to your girls’ lunch, wear it to your kid’s playdate, everywhere!

If you choose to participate (which we hope you do), you will be raising awareness for an issue that affects 1 out of every 4 women in this country. By participating in this campaign, you can help to symbolize the struggles that these women face on a day to day basis.

There a few different ways to participate in the LBD campaign:

  1. Rock your LBD the entire week, and when people stop to ask you why, share with them the statistics of women affected right here in Northwest Arkansas.
  2. Donate directly to The Junior League of Northwest Arkansas to aid them in their mission to end the cycle of domestic violence.
  3. Download the 2017 campaign sticker and post it to your social media to share the message and get your friends and family to participate as well.
