Rogers, Ark. (Oct. 2, 2009) – Learning more about your community and the issues it faces has never been easier, or tastier. On Friday, October 9th from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Kimberly-Clark and Kraft are teaming up with United Way to host a free Non-Profit Fair that is open to the public. The event will be held at 5504 Pinnacle Point Drive in Rogers.

The fair will feature 11 United Way partner agencies. Kimberly-Clark and Kraft are inviting the community, and other businesses, to join in the fair so people in the community can experience for themselves how United Way collaborates with these organizations to change lives in Northwest Arkansas.

Partner agencies will talk about their own programs, how they address specific issues in the community, and offer opportunities to get involved and LIVE UNITED through volunteering.

Attendees can enjoy grilled hot dogs and hamburgers for lunch while they learn more about United Way. The lunch is free, but a $5 donation is encouraged and all proceeds raised from the sale of food will go directly to support United Way’s education, income and health initiatives in the local community.

Lunch will be available on a first come first serve basis. Interested companies wishing to bring their employees should contact United Way of Northwest Arkansas at 479-750-1221 regarding the numbers that are planning to attend to ensure an adequate amount of food is available.

Individuals not able to attend can log on to www.unitedwaynwa.org for more information about the ways they can LIVE UNITED through giving, advocating or volunteering around the issues of education, income and health.
