The Feeding America nationwide network of food banks, including NWA Food Bank, will mobilize in September across all 50 states to help bring an end to hunger through Hunger Action Month. Hunger Action Month is designed to inspire people to take action and raise awareness of the fact that 40 million Americans, including over 12 million children, are food insecure.
The NWA Food Bank has several events planned as part of Hunger Action Month. One event happening throughout all of September is the Spectrum Brands Corporate Challenge, a food drive that pits businesses against each other to fill the Northwest Arkansas Food Bank warehouse. More than 20 businesses are competing to see who can bag the largest amount of donated groceries throughout Northwest Arkansas. 3W Magazine is in it to win it, so make sure to drop off all your food donations to our office!
