We love hearing wonderful acts of kindness, such as this one shared with us by Greer Martin of Dickey’s Barbecue Pit!

On March 30, a member of the Shoemaker family called into their local Dickey’s Barbecue Pit to pay it forward to their Lowell first responders. The Shoemaker family asked that Dickey’s drop off 40 boxed lunches on their behalf to the police department and let them know the family says thank you for protecting our community and being on the front line during this difficult time.

“Through this act of kindness, the Shoemaker family was able to share their support to both a local business and the Lowell Police Department, and reminds us that although we are all physically distanced our community connects us,” Martin said.
