We have a lot of galas around here. So what’s an UnGala? Something we’re really excited about, actually. Need to decode the dress code? Here’s a hint: ladies, leave your heels at home.

On Saturday, April 21 from 7-10 p.m., the Amazeum is hosting its annual fundraiser UnGala. It’s a time to give your inner child a night out, to make every day amazing for our community. While this fundraiser is definitely going to help kids, the event is for those 21 and older.

This year’s UnGala features unique activities and experiences that can’t be found anywhere else. The Amazeum is the only stop between the coasts for Life Size Mousetrap, a performance troupe from the San Francisco Bay area. Their show features the quirky contraptions from the board game scaled to human size. (see the video here)

The UnGala also has a unique corporate challenge. Influenced by its current Hot Wheels exhibit, guests will be racing 24-volt (ride-on) vehicles. We can’t wait to see this!

We don’t know about you guys, but we play to win. And when it comes to racing cars, jumping through hoops, smashing fruit with a bat – we can’t do that in sequins. We’ll be in our best athleisure wear.

Tickets are $100 each and will help fund educational programming and the ability to keep ticket prices affordable for the Northwest Arkansas community. For more information, email Shannon Dixon at sdixon@amazeum.org.
