The C.A.R.E. Initiative’s 9th annual Las Faygas Texas Hold ‘Em Tournament and Casino Night will be Aug. 19 at Walton Arts Center, after taking a two year break since 2019.

The C.A.R.E. Initiative is an organization lead by the employees of Saatchi & Saatchi X. The C.A.R.E. Initiative (Children, Awareness, Responsibility, and Encouragement) was founded on the premise of protecting underserved children in our communities and helping them to reach for and achieve a better quality of life. Since 2003, The C.A.R.E. Initiative has raised over $1,000,000 and donated thousands of volunteer hours to support the incredible organizations in Northwest Arkansas that support children in need, said Jessica McCutcheon, The C.A.R.E. Initiative President and Chairman for Las Faygas.

“We raise funds each year then provide grant funds to the following organizations: Children’s Advocacy Center, EOA Children’s House, CASA, NWA Children’s Shelter and the Children’s Safety Center,” McCutcheon said. “It is our largest annual fundraising event for C.A.R.E. and a way to bring together our community within SSX as well as Northwest Arkansas to raise money and have some fun for a good cause.”

Saatchi & Saatchi X employees do several other internal fundraisers within the office throughout the year such as chili cookoffs, bake sales, and football squares that help raise money for C.A.R.E. At the end of each year, the organization provides grants to each of the five organizations that it supports.

“I really love this event because it allows us to get together with our community & do something together that is bigger than what we could do alone,” she said. “The organizations we support are so critical for our community and knowing that we are able to make a difference by providing grants at the end of the year that may allow counseling or mentorship across the most vulnerable and underserved children in Northwest Arkansas is something very special.”
